Frankfurt sits on the Main. Römerberg is the rebuilt old-town square. The cathedral is the red-sandstone church of the emperors. The iron bridge crosses the river.

The Old Opera and Hauptwache mark the modern centre. Goethe House is the birthplace. The Städel sits on the museum embankment. Main Tower is the view. Palmengarten and Senckenberg close the walk.

On this walk you start at the square, cross the bridge, and work through the city. The tower and the gardens are the end.
