About Us
Free City Tours was conceived and developed by Marcel Lenhoff of Possum Multimedia, running since 2008.
While preparing for an overseas trip, Marcel realised it would be useful to have a single link that provided exactly what Free City Tours now offers — free, self-guided walking tours with clear routes, maps, and short videos of the main attractions.
The site now covers more than 60 cities. Each page gives a short overview, the main sights in a practical walking order, live map directions from where you are standing, and station videos that show you the best path through each landmark.
There is no paid guide, no app to download, and no booking. Open a city, choose an attraction, tap Map for directions, and follow the short films. You can preview a city from home or use the tours on the ground.
Free City Tours is built to make exploring a city simple, free, and practical.
